Oily Skin Myth

Many people think that if you have oily skin, you should skip moisturizing—but that's a myth. In reality, dehydrated skin often produces more oil in an attempt to compensate. This is true for many with oily skin. What your skin really needs is hydration.

The best way to hydrate from the inside out is by drinking plenty of water. For your skincare routine, use a gentle, alcohol-free, water-based cleanser to remove dirt without stripping your skin. Then, follow up with a moisturizer like KiKi's Incredibly Smooth Shea Butter.

Personally, I wash my face with warm water every evening, use a witch hazel toner, and then apply KiKi's Incredibly Smooth Shea Butter. Since switching to this routine, my skin has gone from oily to normal. The key was increasing my water intake and replacing harsh, oil-stripping cleansers with a gentle routine that hydrates—thanks to witch hazel toner and KiKi's Shea Butter.

I hope this helps anyone struggling with oily skin! Remember, overproduction of oil is often due to dehydration. Trying to dry out your skin can actually make things worse, so what your skin really needs is hydration, not harsh drying products.
